What can we learn from our locality & where other people live in the UK? (Lickey Hills)
During this term we will learn about our locality, where we are in the world, what can be found there and compare this to where other people in the UK live, focusing on the Lickey Hills. We will learn how to use compass directions, how to read a map and Ordnance Survey symbols and how to draw our own sketch map.
In English we will be learning how to write Explanation Texts using 'The Shirt Machine.'
We will reading 'This Morning I met a whale by Michael Morpurgo' and thinking about persuasive writing linked to this.
We will then be exploring 'Voices in the Park by Anthony Browne' and recreating this narrative.
Our Science learning will be about Living Things; Classification.
