What can we learn from our locality and where other people in the UK live?
Our discovery learning question for this term is 'what can we learn form our locality and where other people in the UK live?' we will be locating Solihull on a map and then looking at our local area, what is near by and creating a sketch map. We will research the history of Solihull and how the land use has developed over time. We will then compare our locality to Lickey Hills, we will locate where Lickey Hills is, complete some research on the area, what the land is used for and hopefully visit. We will also be developing our skills on maps by looking at Ordnance Survery symbols and using these when creating our own maps.
In English we will be reading Voices in the Park by Anthony Browne and This morning I met a Whale by Michael Morpugo.
In Science we will be learning all about the Human Digestive System.
