Year 6

On 30th March 2022, the Department of Education (DfE) withdrew the requirement for schools to provide Remote Education, as children only need to isolate for 3 days if they have tested positive.

On 23rd January 2023, the DfE expect schools to consider remote education only as a last resort. 

Please see the links below to support your child if they are off school with Covid-19. 

Also, we continue to encourage children to read for pleasure. Choose your favourite book and spend some time reading it! You could write a book review about it if you finish it.

 

Year 6 Additional Task 24th & 25th June

If you would like to create a poster or a project around Biomes; feel free to be creative!

Some ideas:

  • Biome in a Box - Use a shoebox to create a tiny model of a chosen biome using paper, Lego, leaves, foil, etc. Include 3 animals + 3 plants.

  • Biome Fact Triangle - Fold paper into a triangle. Write temperature, weather, plants, animals on each side with sketches.

  • Biome Postcard -  “Greetings from the Rainforest!” Draw the biome on the front, write a short message as if you live there.

  • Biome Creature Design - Invent an animal adapted to a biome. Label adaptations (ears, fur, colour, diet).
