What can we learn from Elmer and his friends?
We have chosen some special books all about Elmer written by David McKee to help us with our learning based around our learning question.
To begin with we will explore our new classroom and routines to help us settle in and then find out all about ourselves and others when reading the story 'Elmer'. We will talk about making new friends in the book 'Elmer's Friends'. Find out about different weather especially the wind and the affects of the wind during 'Elmer and the Wind' and then the snow during the story 'Elmer and the Snow'. During this story we will explore freezing and melting too.
We will also listen to, enjoy and learn all about the special story of Christmas and different traditions through a variety of books.
