God made me and you and called each of us to do a special job for Him.
Year 4
Welcome to Year 4
with Mr Cunningham and Mrs Hobden
Here you will find information about Year 4 as well as updates from events that take place in this year group.
We are guided by our Catholic faith, our mission statement and our virtues - these help us to grow in faith and love for one another. Our class vocational statement is - 'God made me and you and called each of us to do a special job for him.'
Saint Francis is our class Saint.
In Year 4 we also have the fantastic opportunity to work with Solihull Music service learning how to play the recorder.
We provide an opportunity for the children in all year groups to access a broad and balanced 'Discovery Learning' curriculum. Children have an input on their learning and teachers ensure the skills and progression are in place, building upon the knowledge of previous years. Part of our curriculum will involve trips or visitors to enrich the children's learning; supporting the children to become immersed in their learning, helping them to know more and remember more.
Full details of the school's Discovery Learning curriculum can be found on https://www.st-augustines.solihull.sch.uk/curriculum/ indicating Long term plans, knowledge organisers and core subject coverage/expectations.
